The Greater St. Louis Area Council, Boy Scouts of America retained Powers Bowersox Associates to design a replacement facility for its 50 year old dining hall. Through programming and review of several development options, including new construction and renovation it was decided that adding to and renovating the existing facility would achieve the greatest program and cost value.

The new 11,500 square foot addition includes a dining hall (capacity 450), full service kitchen, restrooms and showers, and a large multi-purpose meeting room. The existing 14,000 square foot building was renovated to achieve a new camp image, as well as updated lighting, mechanical, electrical and fire protection systems. Views of the surrounding landscape with natural sunlight and ventilation maintain a campground ideal.
