First National Bank of St. Louis County - Ladue

Ladue, Missouri (1988)

The goals of this project were to convert an existing masonry office building and service station site into a small bank with emphasis on its drive-thru facilities, combined with rental space designed to attract a distinguished clientele. In order to satisfy city requirements for parking, it was necessary to reduce the floor area of the existing building. The reduction was achieved by the conversion of a central space into an atrium that opens to a new skylight. The small bank has three teller stations and four drive-thru lanes. Rows of trees define the lanes while forming an arboreous environment for drive-thru patrons.
