Powers Bowersox was retained by the State of Missouri to program and design a prototype youth facility for state wide implementation.  The first treatment unit constructed from this prototype was built in Fulton, Missouri.

The 22,000 square foot facility accommodates 30 to 40 youths in 10 bed housing units clustered around a support services building.  Each housing unit can be modified to accommodate single room, double room, or dormitory housing.  The central support building contains intake, administration, classrooms, counseling, exercise, visiting and food service facilities. The exteriors of the buildings were designed to be wood, brick, or block materials, depending on the location of the facility.
