PBA designed the first inclusive playground in St. Louis City at Forest Park. Situated between the Missouri History Museum and the Lindell Pavilion the playground is easily accessible from both vehicular and pedestrian paths. Accessible ramps, interactive panels and design elements engage and meet the demands of children of all ability levels.

The quarter-acre playground is composed of three areas; the First Adventures for children ages 2-5, the Big Challenge for children ages 5-12 and the Secret Garden.  The Secret Garden is planted for butterflies and includes descriptive story stones.  It is a place for play and learning through texture, scent and sight for all ages.  The play areas stimulate physical and creative activities through challenging equipment and panels.  A musical pylon within the playground adds an element of sound and delight for the children and serves as a place marker for the playground.

Funded by Variety the Children's Charity of St. Louis.

Developed in Forest Park in cooperation with Forest Park Forever and the City of St. Louis.
